Notre Dame Computer Vision Research Lab
About the Lab
The Notre Dame Computer Vision Research Laboratory (CVRL) conducts work to build AI systems that perceive and reason about the visual world. CVRL includes four faculty and nearly two dozen graduate students and postdoctoral fellows engaged in the areas of human biometrics, machine learning, biologically-inspired algorithms, media forensics, and the digital humanities. Our research seeks to not only design algorithms, but also to shed light on the fundamental underpinnings of vision.
